SUMMARY

An application designed to mix sounds and loops on a two-dimensional pad. It functions as a drum machine that allows users to load percussion kits, customize mixes in real-time, add effects, and control them through the device's gyroscope.

BeatKit started as an experimental weekend project. We were exploring the Superpowered audio library to evaluate its frame interpolation algorithms, particularly useful for effects like sound time warping. At that time, there was a project called DiracLE that offered impressive audio quality. However, Superpowered not only allowed for time warping but also functioned as a complete audio engine, making it a powerful and versatile alternative.

BeatKit leverages all the capabilities of Superpowered, enabling users to mix and loop sounds, apply real-time processing, and dynamically modify parameters. These features make it a powerful tool for creating and manipulating rhythms in real-time.
